Terms of Service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Killbridge Ventures Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore ("we", "us"), which runs Texthyper: texthyper.com, app.texthyper.com, the browser extension, the iPhone and iPad app, and the API. By creating an account or using Texthyper, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The short version
- What you save stays yours. We store it to show it back to you, and we don't publish it.
- Texthyper is free today. Paid plans will come later. The first 1,000 accounts keep everything that is free when paid plans launch, for good.
- Use it for your own reading, within the law, and don't abuse the service.
- You can export everything and delete your account whenever you like. If we ever shut down, you get 60 days' notice to take your library with you.
Your account
You log in with a code sent to your email address, so keep that email account secure. You are responsible for what happens in your Texthyper account, including through the API tokens you create; revoke a token in Settings if a device is lost. An account is for one person. You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it, to use Texthyper.
Your library
The pages you save, and your highlights and notes, remain yours or their authors'. You give us permission to store them, process them (clean up pages, archive their images, index them for search) and show them to you and to the apps and tools you connect to your account, only so we can run Texthyper for you. We don't publish your library or share it with other users.
Texthyper keeps private copies of pages for your own reading. Only save pages you are allowed to access, and don't use Texthyper to republish or distribute other people's work. If you share something from Texthyper, such as a quote card or an export, you are responsible for sharing it. If you believe something on Texthyper infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the details and we'll look into it.
Acceptable use
Don't use Texthyper to:
- break the law, or store or share content that is illegal;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or get around its rate limits and security;
- crawl or scrape websites at scale, or act as a fetching service for others;
- create accounts in bulk, or sell or share access to your account.
Using the API with your own tokens for your own tools is welcome, within the same limits.
Fair use
Texthyper is built for personal reading. To keep it running well for everyone, we may set reasonable limits on storage, saves, imports or API requests. We'll tell you before a limit applies to your account, and a limit never removes anything you have already saved.
Price, paid plans and founding accounts
Texthyper is free today. We plan to introduce paid plans later.
- Founding accounts. The first 1,000 accounts created on Texthyper are founding accounts. Everything that is free on Texthyper on the day paid plans launch stays free for founding accounts, for as long as the account exists and Texthyper runs. Features added after that day may be part of a paid plan.
- Founding status belongs to the account. It can't be transferred, and it ends if the account is deleted or closed under these terms. A new account created later is not a founding account.
- Everyone else. When paid plans launch, we'll tell you by email what stays free and what costs money. Nothing is ever charged unless you choose a paid plan.
- Paid plans will have their own price and billing terms, which we'll show you before you pay.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent, so export anything you want to keep first.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export your library first, unless the law or the safety of others prevents it.
If we ever shut Texthyper down, we'll email you at least 60 days before, and export will keep working until the end.
The service
We work hard to keep Texthyper running and your archive safe, and we may add, change or remove features over time. Cleaning up pages is not perfect, and some pages won't come through well. Keep your own export of anything you can't afford to lose.
No warranties
Texthyper is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of Texthyper. Our total liability for any claim relating to Texthyper is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
Indemnity
You agree to cover our costs if someone makes a claim against us because of what you saved or shared, or because you broke these terms.
The iPhone and iPad app
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to it. These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we'll email you before they take effect. Using Texthyper after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can export your library and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes go to the courts of Singapore, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring them there.
